Butte College Hires Robby Snelling as Head Football Coach

First Official Football Game as Head Coach Saturday, Sept. 1

Butte College has hired Robby Snelling as its Head Football Coach after a national search. Coach Snelling was an all-state tight end at Butte College and later played for Boise State and the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. His coaching experience includes two seasons at Arizona State University followed by 11 years as the Butte College Offensive line coach and offensive coordinator before being named interim head football coach last year. He has mentored 25 all-conference lineman-including an NFL first round selection. He has recruited and coached 10 NFL players while at Butte College. As the offensive coordinator, his teams won six conference championships including two state and national titles. He previously served as Butte’s Head Track and Field Coach winning 12 conference championships and producing 9 state individual champions. Butte opens its season at home on Saturday, September 1 at 1 p.m. at Cowan Stadium vs. San Joaquin Delta College. For more information about athletics events visit: big5vn.com/athletics.
