The Butte College Roadrunner Hub’s annual Holiday Food Basket Drive collected items to provide meals for students in need. The theme for this year’s drive was “You Can Fill the Pan!”
The Holiday Food Basket Drive was organized by the Roadrunner Hub Basic Needs Resource Center which provides a year-round support network of people and programs offering students food and housing resources.
Faculty, staff and community members were invited to contribute non-perishable food items or to assemble full packages featuring items from the list for drop off to the Roadrunner Hub Office in the Campus Center at main campus.To ensure students received a uniform meal, donors chose items from a suggested menu of non-perishable food items.
Student-recipients were determined by nomination or by personal request to receive a basket and preference was given to first-time recipients and nominees.
